Dr. Kristi Mong is a licensed psychologist who moved to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina to aid in the provision of mental health services for children and teens. She offers assessment and diagnostic services as well as consultations and second opinions for individuals who are having difficulty finding the answers they need to be successful. Dr. Mong completes thorough assessments, provides clear reports, and helps clients take proactive steps to make the necessary changes needed to meet their educational, professional, and personal goals. Dr. Mong also has expertise in counseling children and families. She provides psychotherapy to promote emotional, developmental, and behavioral wellbeing.
Dr. Mong holds a PhD from Mississippi State University and has practiced on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 2007. However, her mental health experience began over 20 years ago after receiving her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy when she provided counseling services to youth and families in residential facilities and juvenile detention centers. After receiving her PhD, she completed assessments and provided therapy to children and teens in a psychiatric hospital. She has been working within school districts and has had a private practice since 2007. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
